This year I realised just how important I need to guard what I consume online. This algorithmic culture of FYPs and recommended content can be quite detrimental to an individual; I have found myself stuck in this doom scrolling loop a lot of times as a result. I have sinned a lot this year and have carried bad habits as a result of my content diet, that is why for 2026 I have decided to do things differently by being intentional with the content I consume online. I will be intentionally sinking my teeth deeper into more Christ-centred content, from my favourite ministries, and I thought I should also share them with you.

This is one of my favourite ministries, because their messages are truly centred in revealing the beauty of God's character and His love, and they do it in ways that leave your mind blown every time you listen to them. Ty Gibson and David Ascherick are not just great speakers, but they are very intelligent, fun and super cool, which makes their messages relatable, listening to them is such a vibe. This year, I particularly enjoyed watching their Gospel Conversations series and I would recommend everyone else to listen to it too! They will be releasing a second season next year in April and I cannot wait for that - it's part of the reason why they will be on my watchlist next year, above that, I will be listening to their sermon/teaching series from the past and new ones that will be uploaded. I plan on watching them at least twice a week.

One of the ministries that transformed my thinking and my approach to studying the bible, is BibleProject. As someone who did not go to bible school or seminary, I appreciate the work that they are doing, which is essentially making it easier for the masses to understand the bible, their work resembles that of the reformers of old, like Martin Luther, who wanted the common people to have access to the bible and that is why I appreciate them so much. They create animated videos which are very beautiful and artistic, to explain bible passages, concepts and words, so we can have a deeper understanding and appreciation of the story of salvation, because as their content always shows, everything in the bible is one unified story that points to Jesus. I would recommend everyone to checkout their series on The Sermon on the Mount, it is incredible! Next year they will be doing a video series on The Ten Commandments and I cannot wait to watch it but on top of that, I will start listening to their podcast a lot more, because that is where they go more in-depth on the series they are covering. They also have bible study guides which you can download for free to use as an accompanying resource, they also have free bible classes which will make you feel like you are in bible school/seminary. So think of BibleProject as your bible schoolteacher but one who does not overcomplicate things but rather explains things in a way that will be easy for you to understand, whilst maintaining the essence and depth of the message - kinda like how Jesus taught.
Over the years I have listened to the Breath of Life ministry speakers like Ps C.D Brooks and Ps C Byrd but I had little knowledge about BOL or what they all about, but this year I was able to learn about this ministry and started following them, and man I have been happy to do so. Watching BOL has revealed to me that I really love black church! Ps Snell, the ministry speaker just oozes a lot of swag and his messages have quite often touched my heart, they are real and practical, and as much as I am in Africa, I do find myself relating on some level to the Black American experience which is often the context which he preaches from. In the coming year, I will be watching Ps Snell's weekly sermons without fail, you can also watch the entire weekly church service streams and their weekly podcast which is quite chilled and insightful.

Okay, allow me to be bias for a second. The reason I am including Youth 412 Media in this fray is because, I will be watching a lot of the content by default because I have to produce, create, edit and review it, so I will spend a lot of time on this channel; but above that, the content that will be created is content that I would want to watch myself, it will be as informative as BibleProject, intellectually stimulating and interesting as Lightbearers and cool and practical as Breath of Life! It will also be presented in formats that are fun and relatable for young people, and I know you will enjoy it, if you give it a chance. We will have weekly sermons, a podcast and a game show for you to watch, enjoy and engage with, so I highly recommend Youth 412 Media to you, as bias as that sounds (maybe cause it is just a little bit).
5. Honourable Mentions
Here are some of my other favourite ministries that I will also be watching on occasion, that I have enjoyed watching this year:
So, those are some of my favourite ministries that I will be intentionally including more of in my content diet, I would recommend you do so too, let us also pray for every one of them because the work they do is so important; and they need a lot of strength and support to carry it through. Thanks for actually reading this, I didn't think you would, so God bless you for that. I will probably be doing more of this, so I guess stay tuned dude.
